VAZA reserva 2001 - Coming 2010

Tasting Notes

Cherry and reddish color with some red and pink hints. The wide variety of aromas first show some balsamic and spicy notes (pepper, sandal, tobacco) and secondly it presents the oak and bottle ageing characteristics (chocolate, tea, smoke, vanile and leader). It has a surprising ending with fruity notes of cherries and plums with some orange peel. The palate is soft, velvety, full, well rounded and balance, with a persistent and long fruity after-taste.

Food Affinities

Enjoy with foie gras or sweetbreads, quail, grilled red meats and the cheese course. Further affinities include figs, roasted nuts, caramelized onions and warm spices.
